KENDRA ARONSON

COOKBOOK AUTHOR

Bio Portfolio

Kendra is the vision and voice behind The San Luis Obispo Farmers' Market Cookbook: Simple Seasonal Recipes & Short Stories from the Central Coast of California. Her enthusiasm (and endless energy) made it real—from the writing, recipe testing, and food photography, to the editorial design and self-publishing.

Taking her dream from big idea to bound book took creativity and crowdfunding. In July 2015, Kendra launched a Kickstarter campaign and raised $26,714 in pre-order sales. She sold out of her first print run of 2,000 copies in just 20 days. Now in its third print run, Kendra’s cookbook has sold over 8,000 copies. She’s still in awe and grateful to every single supporter.

Kendra's successful self-publishing journey has been featured on Girlboss, Food52, Radio Cherry Bombe, and the Being Boss Podcast. Plus, her cookbook has garnered the attention of famed, farm-to-table goddess Alice Waters (!).

Over the years she ultimately found jewelry-making to be her true calling while working in a jewelry shop. The experience blended her passion for geology with making things. Today Kerry is proud to do what she loves for a living - which is find simple ways to show off natural gemstones straight from the earth.

Everything Kerry creates is handcrafted with care using traditional jewelry-making techniques. Her hammer forged and brushed metal pieces are all made with her own two hands from raw metals. You won’t find her working with prefabricated or assembled parts. Kerry is completely dedicated to her craft

Greetings! I’m a Central Coast florist with a penchant for details.

Building color palettes, combining textures, and playing with depth and movement makes what I do a dream come true. The best part? Getting to know couples on a friend level and seeing their vision brought to life on the big day. There’s nothing like two best friends tying the knot, and couples who dare to be different are definitely the most fun!

Nature inspires Aurelia Flora above all, and I’m proud to responsibly source seasonal blooms from local growers when I’m not foraging from the wild. Working with my hands is a big part of who I am from designing florals and ceramics to practicing Muay Thai. I find books, tote bags, and art supplies totally irresistible, along with my husband. Our goals include adopting a dog and traveling/climbing all over the world together.

Thirteen years in the wonderful world of flowers makes me someone couples can count on. What you need to know is that clients describe me as a calming presence who makes their lives easier. Thanks for taking the time to get to know a bit about me. I’d sure like to get to know you!

I appreciate the opportunity to work with a diverse spectrum of individuals including children, youth, adults, & families struggling with severe mental illness, trauma, and addiction issues.

Throughout the journey of psychotherapy, I practice various treatment approaches with a major focus on cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. My style of care is collaborative, strength-based, and needs-driven. I will provide a calming, nonjudgmental, and empathic space for you to explore the root of your issues.

Having the courage to work on yourself to reach your potential does not have to happen alone. I will support and empower you to move beyond your barriers with strength and courage. Lost Blues—Letter from the Winemaker

Every journey starts somewhere. Where you wind up is up to you. I intend to make the most of mine.

Founded in 2012, Lost Blues is a vision made real by two hands, a strong back, and the help of many friends. My winding path has been rocky and yet somehow that makes the reward of it all the better.

There’s no place like California’s Central Coast. Paso Robles is home. There’s a humility here that honors her natural beauty. Lost Blues is a tribute to this place, and I feel fortunate to share the fruits of my labor with you.

“Christy is such a blessing to work with. I am a photographer. A visual person—so words do not come easily to me. She asked me a few simple questions about my work, life, and thoughts, then VOILÀ! She wrote a perfect to the point bio of me. It is hard to write about yourself or put your years of work and life experiences into one or two paragraphs, but Christy did it perfectly.”
